Reykjavík is a great city for a visit of a few days.
The Icelandic capital who is a home for only about 120,000 residents has many things to offer to one who is visiting it.
Hallgrímskirkja, the famous church, is one of the city most popular landmarks.
The church has also one of the best view points in the city.
Harpa, the concert hall that was build in 2011, is a very impressive glass building that is very nice to see also from the inside.
The place was hosting some of the best concerts in Iceland for the last seven years.
Laugavegur is the name of the Main street, and it’s full with restaurants, shops and bars.
Reykjavík is a city with a very developed nightlife scene and many fun bars and night clubs, every weekend the city wakes up around 1:00 AM and party until the morning.
The city also has some very nice and warm swimming pools to offer. Our favorite one is Árbæjarlaug swimming pool, that you could reach with the number 5 bus after only ten minutes bus ride from the city center.
Besides that, the city is a great starting point to take some day tours and see the Icelandic landscape.
One of them is the golden circle, the most popular day tour in Iceland, where you could see the famous Geyser, the golden waterfall (Gullfoss) and Þingvellir national park.
Another one is the south coast, where you could see two beautiful waterfalls (Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss) and the famous black send beach of Vík.
